Most pathetic ending to a Monday Night Football game.....ever
Horrible. I was having flashbacks to pro boxing disgraceful decisions.
No kidding. I'm still surprised the Packers came back out to line up for the extra point.
Yes that was crazy! If things don't get worked out this week I will be very surprised!!
I didn't think it was a bad call.
One of the worst calls i've ever seen. What i don't get is how in the world instant reply does not reverse that? Green bay's defender had the ball as he was on the ground!
Bad call but Packers should be upset that they couldn't muster more points in the first place..

First 44 plays of the second half --- Packers 38 Seattle 6, but only 12 points. Credit to Seahawk defense deserved, but the last call was an :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I'd add more eeks, but 18 is the limit. i did not know that. |
Football is a game of strategy and you work with what you are given. The packers regrouped at half, came out with a modified strategy, and did what it took to win the game - not to slaughter Seattle, but to win. Seattle had -1 total yards for the second half, going into the 2nd-to-last drive.
The referees handled the entire game poorly, but I like Pete Carroll's assessment of them in today's Seattle Times. Basically, he stated that it takes years to get the experience to referee football at this level, and these guys are doing the best they can. Of course, he had nothing to complain about, since the goal of the game is to win, not to lose with good officiating. Delaying the season until the refs and NFL figured things out, might not have been a better route. |
The sports books out here in Vegas liked it!
