What does TPG do when your card has erase marks?

Got a t206 in the mail today, looks like there was writing and someone tried erassing it. Part of back has been rubbed off. How does SGC mark the cards down?

They will grade Exactly the same as if the mark was still there, if there are indention's or remnants left. A lot of times that is about 2 grades but it depends too. A higher grade card would be dinged more. All just my opinion from what I have seen.

I would have to agree. After looking at some recent auctions, SGC gives the cards 1.5-2.

Many years ago PSA wouldn't grade my t206 Magie because someone tried to erase pencil marks on the back. If they grade them now, they have changed the policy...it has been awhile though, I think that was 2002

Agree w/ Leon on the SGC side and as far as PSA I thought the gave it a MK qualifier...I tend to break the cases open rather quickly and may be wrong though.

I really dislike the MK qualifier and I'm not too much of a fan of PSA myself.

If part of the back has been rubbed off (paper loss) you may be looking at a SGC 10. I had an old judge of Pete wood that would have been close to NM without a stamp rubbed off the back, it was hardly noticeable.

The PSA MK designation can be all over the board. From a very, very tiny mark to someone scribbling all over the back. For those sellers who sell cards on ebay without a back scan and you see from the front it has an MK grade, you need to be sure and ask for a back scan or at least have the seller describe the mark.
