I really like this signed postcard of Sandy Koufax.
Definitely a keeper, but soon to be freed from it's PSA tomb... |

The ball is in great condition. Some of the signatures are not as strong as the panel I showed but they are all very readable.
24 autographs including Thurman Munson. Signatures that are included on this ball are Thurman Munson, Joe Pepitone, Bobby Murcer, Fritz Peterson, Bill Robinson, Bob Cox, Gene Michael, Mike Kekich, Stan Bahnsen, Jake Gibbs,Mel Stottlemyre (clubhouse signature), Al Downing and 12 more. This is an unofficial Haiti baseball BUT it is Thurman Munson's first year with the Yankees and his signature is on this ball. He only played in 26 games in 1969. He played three games in August, 22 in Sept. and one in October. This is truly a rare signed ball as Munson certainly had little opportunity to sign Yankee team baseballs from 1969. The ball is very clean with strong signatures and Munson's signature is outstanding. For those who are wondering, the clinching autograph on this ball is Bob Cox. Cox was a Yankee in 1968 and 1969. The only year he could be on a Yankee baseball with Thurman Munson is 1969. |

Nicest Early Munson I've ever seen. Signed before he became the MEANEST catcher of all time.

Killer ball, Richard. I'm with Scott on a Koufax kick. This is one of my favorite cards ever, due to the amazing colors and great pose.

Just picked this one up. 1936 R313 National Chicle Honus Wagner. The signature is great on this one and I love the image. You can see the years and love for the game on Honus' face as he clutches his baseball.

He wasn't so mean that night Carlton Fisk kicked his butt.:) |

Well...if we're talking about the fight in August of 1973, Munson may have been dumped on his head, but I believe Fisk was the only one that ended up bleeding. :D
In all fairness, I'm a big Munson fan and never really cared for Fisk, or I should say the media version of Fisk. This all changed when I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2008 at the Hall of Fame. One of the nicest players I've ever met. |

Just got this Elvis Presley in. Nice later 1950's signature on an old bank counter check. First generation pick up (as in I actually purchased it from the person who got the autograph originally, harder and harder to find these days).

Very nice Buck O'neil ball. Definitely on my list of single signed balls to pick up. He was a great player, coach and ambassador to the game. A real shame he came up 1 vote short for the hall...but I consider him a hof'er because of the award in his name they give out. I love watching the Ken Burns Doc just to hear Buck tell his stories.
|
Love that Buck Ball. I have him on a Negro League ball (his is the Sweet Spor )that has like 20 signatures on it.

Thanks Ben. Elvis is always one of my favorite autographs to get. This is actually the first of two that I have picked up in the last ten days, both 1950's examples. Will post the other when I get it in.

Don Larsen signed World Series Perfect Game 1961 Topps Card

I've been looking to add a nice ballpoint pen signed example of this 1961 Topps card to my collection for awhile. The centering/condition/signature combo on this card is crazy good, IMHO...

Wheat T206
2 Attachment(s)
Well, I finally got a Zach Wheat signed T206, gave up some cards that were great, but overall, this fits my collection much better. Also, I picked up this great W514 Edd Rousch, it'll have to do since he doesn't have a T206 :)

Here is a General William T. Sherman signed Cabinet Photo that I picked up this month. Nice sized, approx. 4x6 inches...tough to find him on a signed photo.

Jim Wilson 1954 signed A/P

No-hit pitcher Jim Wilson signed album page from 1954, the same year he threw his no-no.

Great pickups this month everyone.
I just recently picked up a lot that had 3 auto cards thrown in, I am not really into collecting them and figured when they showed up I would just sell them. Well they are here and I have to say they look very cool in person, I am now considering keeping them. In any case I wanted to share them with you all to enjoy too, also the cards are 1925 Exhibits. What I have no idea on is if these players autos are tough to get?- http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...bitssigned.jpg |

Very happy to pick this up. Not household names, but Sy Morton, Jeep McClain, and Buddy Burbage are pretty tough on a baseball. Plus, Marchildon is one of the most interesting and inspiring stories in baseball.

Got this in the latest Legendary auction. A big pickup for my HOF collection, and I've enjoyed learning about the career (and various misfortunes) of Brown's battery mate Archer (who signed above him). Plus, I just love old programs. I only wish it were scored!
