Did anybody pick anything up last night in Legendary's Day 1?

Curious to see who got some of the CJs and the 1956 Hocus Focus lot.

Lost out on the '25 Exhibit Gehrig (PSA 3MK), my only serious interest........

I picked up this tough California League card.

I have a question(more into memorabilia anymore and kind of lost touch with card market) but is GAI still strong in cards? I know that if I see an autograph authenticated I assume it is fake. I remember at the same time that started, the cards were still strong though. How is a GAI slabbed cars revered these days?

GAI is not strong, though the cards are likely to be genuine. Unlike the autograph side, I'm not aware they grade fakes or reprints.

I picked up a CJ for a good price, but I'll be looking to sell/trade it when I do have it in hand.

Agreed....of all of the cards so far, and there are some beauties, I think my fave is Jim's Hess card. What a beauty!! Congrats Jim....

I just got my invoice from Legendary...that shipping is LUDICROUS!

I won Lot #585 - 1976 & 1977 Topps complete sets in EX-NM condition. I put in a low bid a few days ago and I can't believe it stayed at that bid...I am very happy.

Since Rob posted he won Lot 585, I won lot 584, the 1975 Topps mini set.

There were a couple CJ's that went far below what I thought they would have - What are the ripple down effects of in the indictment? Did they change participation in this auction?

Yes I'm disappointed the smart ass comment was retracted as well... I can only hope what comes around goes around!

Examples?

I won a $1400 lot of 4 sgc graded, M101-4 cards. My shipping was $23.

I would have to presume on a single high dollar card the insurance cost is what causes the stratospheric price.

$64 in shipping for 2 cards and a pin.

I won a single card with a bid of $150. Buyers premium=$29.25. Shipping=$18.23. Total $197.48.

Yeah, only 2x the actual cost....(including insurance)

In their defense they have worked with me, time wise, quite a bit on paying off some lots I have won.

I hope not, but I sure like them a lot! :)

I was an underbidder on the CJ Cobb. Really wanted that but couldn't pull the trigger at the price. This is a nice hobby - when you lose, you end up with a lot of money in your pocket :)

I got lucky with these two and some HOF 33 Goudeys. Does anyone know how long Legendary takes to ship?

My shipping cost on the 1975 Topps mini set is $21.54

I am unsure how everyone is knowing their shipping costs, when the "invoice" button is apparantly not active. Are invoices available, and if they are, is ev eryone's "invoice" button active?

But how do you get over the sickening feeling of regret for not picking up a card when it was likely your one shot, or at least the optimal opportunity......can't get over the brown Lenox(s) I passed up, still bummed :(

Basically I just said that maybe they were using the excess shipping fees to help pay for court costs.

My $209 7x9 photo cost $19.86 to ship. Quite excessive, but I knew in advance that it would be.

My shipping cost was $22.55...not bad for 2 complete topps sets.

My shipping costs were a shade under $30 for 11 PSA graded cards.

$62 to ship a couple cards. Love the N162 Brouthers
