Show Your One Of A Kind Item
what do you have in your collection that is so rare, you might be the only one with a copy?
|
you first
|
We don't have enough time in the day since this is what I collect (till another gets found then I lose my ass). So far I haven't found anyone that has seen more of any of these from this set, 1941 Montreal Team Issue. I would have to guess there are some out there and we'll eventually see them. I think these cost around $25 each so it's not a huge deal, but they are still quite rare and one of a kind as far as I know.

I think Ive seen another 1948 Bengamin Franklin Half dollar before :)
Hope you dont lose your ass to bad on that one. |

Gotta feel for a guy named Ed Head . . .

Isnt this kinda the same as your toughest card?

Maybe, but it's sort of akin to 2 T206 threads. Our T206 collectors don't complain about too many of those threads. I will be darned if I complain about type-collecting or scarce card threads. http://luckeycards.com/pt207redcross.jpg |
Fantastic card.

I have never seen another one of these, so I like to think it is one of a kind. Anyone else ever seen one?

Hi Colt- it's a nice trade card, but I've had at least a couple of them over the years. I always did like it though.

I have a number of 1/1 cards, mostly boxing. Here are some ones from various eras and sets that interest me:
1929 A's premium I picked up at the National. I think it was a soda mfg.: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...0composite.jpg 1904 Sporting Life Munroe-Jeffries 2-sided cabinet card: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...ffries%201.jpg Coney Island Arcade Lou Gehrig: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...e%20Gehrig.jpg Early 1930s Adam Hats Cards: Red Dutton [Hockey HOFer] http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...s%20Dutton.jpg H815 Adam Hats Jake LaMotta: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...0LaMotta_1.jpg 1920s W-Unc. Ty Cobb--I've seen a few others but they've all been 1/4 of a 4 on 1 Exhibit card, not a real strip card: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...Unc%20Cobb.jpg 1960s Israeli Cassius Clay card [says "Cassius Clay [Boxing]" on the front. http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...eli%20Clay.jpg |
I was just informed by a forum member that he has 12 of those 1941 cards I showed in the first post with cards. He doesn't have the Ed Head one though...so I guess it could still be considered unique. I have never seen another one of these cards yet.....

Here's another Buck Weaver: W514 (Mother's Bread) version.
I hear there might be another, but unconfirmed. |

Here's a Jimmy Claxton Ticket from later in his career, pitching semi-pro ball in Reno, Nevada (played for Scott Motors 1933-35, 32 game winning streak 1933-34). August 4, 1935 Scott Motors of Reno 2, Round Mountain 4. |
As would be expected, close to 100% of my cabinet photos. This one is probably my favorite, having traveled through the collections of several cabinet photo collectors on the board:

Just curious
Were Ed Head and Dick Cox related?

T206s and one of a kind don't really go together.
There is a slight offset double print of the OM ad, haven't seen another. Maybe not one of a kind. http://i.imgur.com/bG2fO.jpg |

Can't say for sure but have never seen another. http://photos.imageevent.com/uffda51.../Beaneater.JPG Ditto. |
Wow, Bruce. Just "wow". That Duffy cabinet--and I say this with an unblemished record of heterosexuality--is fabulous.

This is a cabinet of a couple Jersey City Skeeters in Bermuda for what I assume is training. Along with stamped back T206's I also collect Jersey City baseball items from the deadball era and I was lucky to snag this on eBay years ago for a steal. The mount is in terrible shape though. But I think this would be a one of a kind piece.
Thanks, AndyH |
Love the Duffy Cab, Bruce; and those Portland Beavers Photos are fantastic, Ramram!

I don't show this one often, but I have shown it at least once before. It is one of a kind for sure and I am certain that nobody else has one! :)

Signed T206 Mike Donlin. Signed by me, but definitely one of a kind.

Wagner
I like to think this is a one of a kind. Dockman and Sons printed several "card" items for their candy. One card type they printed was a series of animals. Imagine opening a package of candy hoping first of all for some great tasting candy and then secondly hopefully a picture of a Hippo, Monkey, or a Giraffe. Instead you find a Honus Wagner!!
I have seen a McGraw like this, but not a Wagner. http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...88b04da540.jpg http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...e39855ed6d.jpg |

Here are some of my One Of A Kind Item(s)
Possibilities ?
These two T206's (Herzog and Lake) do NOT appear in either the PSA or SGC pop reports, so are they "unique" ? http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...zogUZITx50.jpghttp://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...ogUZITx50b.jpghttp://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...kewball50x.jpg..http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...ewball50xb.jpg This T206 Jennings is not in the PSA pop report. It's the only one listed in the SGC pop report.....therefore, is it "unique" ? http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...nnings1x75.jpg..http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...nings1x75b.jpg Hey guys, I know better than to claim that these three above T206's are "One Of A Kind".....but, until other examples surface, I like the sound of that. OK, now for the cards in my collection that I think are "unique"........... 1904 Buffalo Bills Team card ...... I've had this beauty for 24 years and have not seen another one. http://i529.photobucket.com/albums/d...904buffalo.jpg T205 Collins http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...smiscut50x.jpg..http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...insWCbk50x.jpg 1949 LEAF Billy Johnson / Mizell Platt (:) drunk printer on the midnite shift :)) http://i529.photobucket.com/albums/d...illjohnson.jpg 1969 Mickey Mantle color printing error (blue instead of gray) ...... I've had this card since the 1980's and have not seen another one like it. http://i529.photobucket.com/albums/d...bluemantle.jpg T-Rex TED |
