Brooklyn Opening Day 1925?
 

I am going through some of my wire photos and these dont say what they are on the back. My guess is opening day 1925 but I would like to know what anyone else thinks.

Definitely 1925, but the second photo is not opening day. The black armband is for Charles Ebbets who died on April 18, 1925. Opening day was April 14 against the Phillies.

Thanks for the info. So maybe one is opening day and one is the first game back after his death.

Looks like they have black armbands on in the first photo also. Looks like Judge Landis in front with his familiar cowboy hat on. I would say no to either being from opening day.

More research about the photos. Looks like you may have 2 photos from the game the day after his death. The game was played on Sunday the 19th against the New York Giants.

Don, thanks so much for all your help on the photos. I am working on my Wheat website and these photos belonged to Zach and I just didnt know much about them. I did know they were 1925 due to the round patch. Kenny
