Doc White....a multi-talented guy....let's see his cards and any other stuff
Guy Harris White was a Dentist, he sang and played the piano for his church choir, and even composed several songs. Also, Doc did some vaudeville.
In 1904, he established a new record by pitching 5 consecutive Shutout games. This record stood for 64 years until Don Drysdale equalled it June 3, 1968. That evening, Doc White sent a telegram to Don Drysdale congratulating him. OK, I'll start this show with some of my run-of-the-mill Doc White T-cards. ...http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...iedmSov50x.jpghttp://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...f42ovpt50x.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...edmSov50xb.jpg.http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...42ovpt50xb.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...m150Sov50x.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...150Sov50xb.jpg Hey guys, show us your Doc White cards, memorabilia, and any esoteric type stuff of him. My dad knew Doc White from George Barr's Umpire School in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1939. This is a picture of Doc White from that time.
