I am happy to officially announce that we have a new advertiser, who happens to be a very good hobby friend. Love of the Game Auctions, run by Al Crisafulli, is moving forward with their first auction in the coming months. There was a thread previously about it but I don't think another is too much. We do have some excellent items in the inaugural auction, including plenty of prewar HOFers, tough type cards and difficult backs, high-grade postwar HOFers, a fantastic selection of football cards, and more.

I'm also pretty active on Facebook and Twitter, and have been blogging about individual consignments, so you can follow along as I add items to the auction. I've already blogged about a gorgeous Kalamazoo Bat Mulvey, George C. Miller Dizzy Dean, a nice, clean E107 Pickering, and some great '48 Leaf football cards, all of which will be in the auction. Are their any general guidelines as far as consignments go, in terms of minimum value, era of cards etc.?

I just registered and am looking forward to what consignments you will be offering in your inaugural auction.

I noticed that your site scrolls rather sluggishly (for me anyways), and being in the software development world I downloaded the main page to my PC and tried to locate the problem. A shadow in the body section of the main style sheet is the culprit:

background: url(../UserFiles/Image/background.jpg) top;
-webkit-box-shadow: inset 0 0 1000px white;
-moz-box-shadow: inset 0 0 1000px white;
box-shadow: inset 0 0 1000px white;
min-height: 100%;
font-family: Arial, sans-serif;

Once this is removed, the page scrolls normally. You might want to pass this on to your web developer(s). I hope this helps.

Robert, it's not that I have a minimum value as much as I'm looking for quality material that's interesting to the type of collectors that frequent this board. I hope that each auction will have high-value material, but also some interesting items on which almost anyone can bid.

Anyone who might have material they're interested in consigning can feel free to drop me an email; I'm pretty good about responding quickly and will happily discuss any potential consignments.
