Interesting T206 PSA Pop Report - They Better Do This Right

I was just checking the PSA pop report on a Broad Leaf back when I noticed they have spots for many more details such as 350's and 460's. Theres even spots for different factory numbers. This is something I was going to eventually contact PSA about when I was closer to a complete 5000 plus front/back set but it looks like they are doing it without me. My only concern is that not all back details are listed yet. They have American Beauty 350 and 460 but 350 should have With Frame and Without Frame. If they are gonna do this, they better do it right and have a spot for all 38 plus backs. If anyone has any power to contact them and make sure all backs will now be identified, please do so. Theres just no reason to do a half a** job. I want to see all the backs listed.

even if it's done right, the pop reports will never be accurate, because there are tens of thousands of cards that were graded from 1991 to circa 2007 when they started recognizing the backs. look how many are under "unkown" (63,000+), it'll never be accurate unfortunately.

Sadly...mikes right...the reports will never be even close to accurate at this point. Pop reports are so understated with regard to t206 backs...since psa never kept track of them from the start. And this is contributing to some ridiculous prices on tougher backs...that are in all likelihood a lot more plentiful then the reports lead us to believe.

I agree that we will probably never know the true numbers but the point I was making was if they are going to break down the backs at this point, they need to include all of them in detail such as 150's, 350's, 460's, factory numbers, no frames, brown's, red's, black's, overprints, all possible back types.

Ronnie, this is a free service that PSA (and SGC) provide. You'd never get them to do this. I would like all color tints broken down for all 1920s Exhibits, but PSA isn't going to do this for me either.

I wish I had 5000 different. Right now i'm nearing 1200 cards with most being the more common Piedmont and Sweet Caporal backs. About 200 cards are the less common backs such as Tolstoi, Cycle, EPDG's amd others. Even with nearly 1200 cards, I'm still around 120 short of a basic 520 set.

And the population reports will never be accurate from the collectors who like cracking them out to have raw, or the cross-overs.
