Neal, Joe had more then anyone since he won the Carter T206 set
But I don't believe he has anymore available for sale. I've been following (& collecting) Carter pedigreed cards since Mastro/Legendary had them slabbed & I don't see Joe offering any, perhaps they are listed on his site & not on eBay though. Greg, I may have 1 or a couple I may part with, will check em out later & let you know. |
Did anyone on here get the Demmitt Joe had? I watched it for months and when I went to pull the trigger it was sold :(

Just saw this auction but it is too late.
If the winner is a board member and if he want to flip the card, lmk http://www.ebay.com/itm/T206-GRADED-...p2047675.l2557 |
I tried, but it went for a significantly higher premium than I was willing. I do have one Lionel Carter (for the record, not to tease), a Hannifan in SGC 70, but amn't currently interested in selling it as it's my only card from his collection.
Best of luck, --S |

OT--Usage--
Hey, Shaunsteig--
"amn't"? I like it! Creative style--Playing with language-- Or is it a dialectical usage with which I'm unfamiliar? I just checked it out at http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-amn1.htm and got an interesting grammar lesson: Aren't I gramatically correct? Ain't I or amn't I? Have fun. Doug |

Can't remember why I phrased it that way, perhaps I was intending to write less formal for the context here, but upon re-reading still find it more natural than "I aren't" or "I ain't" and equally natural to "I'm not". It actually softens the negative element ("I'm not" distinctly emphasizes the _not_ whereas I amn't rolls it onto the end of the contraction), and perhaps since I was declining to offer my card for sale wished to soften that portion of my statement. Can't really remember thinking back. Appreciate the call-out though, hadn't really given the proper English phraseology much thought, but always nice to learn something new. Another reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amn't#Amn.27t I kinda get a small kick out of the fact that both references mention this usage more common in Scotland or Irish dialects, as my first name has Irish origin. Except that my name ain't (no pun intended) spelled the Irish way and I have no Irish background, and grew up in NJ/NY and spent several years recently in the Boston area. Word, --Shaun |

update
Hey Nelson,
A whole bunch went up for sale on EBay under Joe's Vintage Sports Cards. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw...+t206&_sacat=0 They're priced at a premium but some might be reasonable depending on your interest-level. Happy new year, --S |
Thx for the notice. I saw it and i bought last week 5 carter t206 cards from this seller
|
Nelson,
I just looked at Joe's listings on eBay and he has >6 cards from the Carter Collection currently for bid or buy it now. Dave |

Shaunsteig brought this up a little over an hour ago on the bottom of the previous page. |
Thought these were reasonably priced given they were "Lionel Carter" so I scooped up the Groom.
|
Please forgive my oversight

Many thanks all |
I may be reading the listings incorrectly; however, there seem to be 15 for sale on eBay right now. I am not the seller (and do not know the sellers) of any of these:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_saca...B+t206&_sop=15 Edited to add: Sorry for posting out-of-date information. When I actually read all three pages, it became clear to me that others had pointed this out. My apologies. Best Regards, Eric |
