Kind of crazy to sell promo items? Black Swamp find

I don't know but I just find it kind of crazy to sell promo items like this? And I think adding fuel to the fire is they are pre-selling it. At least this one is about $50 less than the previous one posted.....I won't be signing up to buy a set...though a free set would be kind of neat, I guess.

I remember the Reccius Wagner promo item being sold on ebay when Leland's had them made up. I have even seen the REA Cracker Jack magnets being sold on ebay.

Look at his completed auctions, it worked on some of the cards (not the Black swamp ones). Not a bad way to offset the VIP costs.

Interesting.......

I never realized that National promo's were presold. Funny what people will do for a buck.

Yeah, like charge extra for SUPERVIP and make special reprints for those who pay.

This reminds me of the National in Baltimore two years ago. They were giving away Nick Markakis bobbleheads at Camden Yards that Thursday night. On Friday morning there were bobbleheads for sale everywhere at the show.

Strike while the iron's hot.................the promo market ain't what it used to be. I remember people standing in line forever in 1992/1993 to get those Classic promos of Shaquille ONeal and others. Those that sold them QUICK for $200-$300 hit the jackpot....I remember buying those VIP deals in those years.....some of the promo cards are kind of cool....the 1952 Topps are nice.........

I am thinking about getting a promo set of these, screwing around with them to make them in lesser condition, then getting them graded. I could have the only VG set in existence!!

You should get them autographed and have Chris Morales authenticate them for you.

I may be alone here. But for some reason, I've always liked the promo reprints from notable sales/auctions/finds. I wouldn't pay much for them though. I just think they're kinda neat to have...The Lelands Toleteros Josh Gibson SGC Sample may be my favorite..

an ebay search of "e98" now results in an inundation of swamp find promo cards...oh boy?!

I did not want

to carry those cards home, they are in safe hands,.... and I will never see them again.
