Brian Dwyer @ REA

Congrats!

"Robert Edward Auctions is proud to announce the addition of Brian Dwyer to the REA team. Many of you may be familiar with Brian from his involvement in vintage cards as a dealer and an auctioneer, and many more know him from his tenure at SGC where he was involved with so many aspects of the business. It has been a long time since we added anyone, but we felt that Brian was the right person to add to our team, and to help us plan for the future. He may even be the key to our running more frequent REA auctions in the future! Brian has never failed to impress in all of his past endeavors, and we are confident he will impress you with his knowledge, attention to detail, and communication skills.

He will also be able to do a little more travelling than REA is known for, viewing collections and even attending some conventions for the convenience of consignors. Brian will be attending the National Convention in Baltimore. While the REA office in New Jersey will be open as always during the convention, fielding calls and receiving consignments from those going both to and from the show, if you would like to meet with Brian at the National Convention, please contact us to make arrangements!"

+1

I'd like to know too.

atx840 07-24-2012 12:34 PM

Same thoughts I had, I really like his auctions, especially the lower BP and PayPal payment.

barrysloate 07-24-2012 12:38 PM

I never met Brian, but I know he comes with a "Sterling" reputation, so congrats to him and Rob both.

Leon 07-24-2012 12:41 PM

Brian or Rob will have to answer the Sterling Auction question but it's hard to imagine Brian still doing his and working for REA. Congrats to Brian and REA.

Spartan833 07-24-2012 12:43 PM

Brian is a class act and great with dealing with people. He will be a fantasticaddition to REA. Congratulations to you!

Kudos to REA on the excellent hire.

Hopefully, Sterling will continue business as usual, but I doubt it.

Congratulations Rob, you are very lucky.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm very excited about my new position with REA and look forward to seeing many of you in just about a week at the National.

I also want to thank everyone for their support as bidders and consignors while I operated Sterling Sports Auctions. As much as the auctions were enjoyed by those participating, I think I may have enjoyed them even more. I believe that Sterling will continue under new ownership without my involvement so that it can continue to fill a nice niche in its corner of the hobby. I'll make sure to share any developments in that respect whenever they become available.

Brian

Congrats on the new position with REA, Brian! A win-win I'd say!

I hope we don't lose Sterling Auctions, which definitely filled a nice market niche. I'll look forward to news in this regard.

Cheers,
Blair

I must say that i'm happy to have won a few things in brian's last auction.
I also was privileged to win in barry s.'s last auction as well, some years back.

Just met with Brian Dwyer this morning. Nice guy and easy to talk to. Great to have him traveling around for REA and picking up consignments.

Should be a big year in terms of material per Brian for this April auction.

Look forward to it.
