What's up with the Mass cop getting in trouble for calling Crawford a 'monday' at a minor league baseball game in NH? I had no idea that was a racial slur.

Not one I've ever heard either. And I live in the area.

I suppose anything can be taken as a slur if someone's in a mood to be offended.

I'm a bit offended at his performance last year, I don't suppose I could get him suspended though.

Youk got moved out of town for supposedly bad performance, nearly identical and in some ways worse performance and Crawford stays ? Mkes no sense to me

Crawford is staying because of his contract. I think he has 2 more years left and hasn't proven anything in Boston, so he basically has a contract that is impossible to trade. Sure, the Red Sox could trade him, but they would have to pay at least 75% of his contract and at that rate, why not just keep him?

It worse than you think, Crawford has at least 5 more years on this deal. After this season they still owe him 100-110 million. O U C H !!

Still, they should take the loss and swap him for someone who can handle playing in Boston. He's one of those guys that just can't seem to handle it here. Most do well once they've left.
