T209 Contentnea COLOR set Complete!

A GIGANTIC THANK YOU to my good friend Michael Peich for finishing off the last 2 needs for my T209 set.

Kudos to you Mike!

May you have a very Happy 4th of July wished to you from this retired Army Sergeant!

HRBAKER 07-04-2012 10:02 AM

Congrats Dan and kudos to Mike for the assist!

Congrats Dan. Great looking set of cards. After breaking a small group of them recently I am trying to figure out which cards to keep as types as they are all so colorful and bright. Love the unique poses.

danmckee 07-04-2012 10:30 AM

Yes a tough decision!

You can rule out the 2 most common ones though, Hoffman and Walsh

I like the purple one best I think

dan

PS Thanks for the kind words Jeff!

Great job Sarge! Now get working on the T209-2s.

Michael Peich 07-04-2012 01:05 PM

Good point, Jay. That's the set I'm now hoping Dan will help me complete!

Happy fourth to everyone,
Mike

Nicely done, I haven't looked into this set but they sure are pretty.

DixieBaseball 07-05-2012 06:21 AM

Congrats

Congrats Dan-O ! Good to see Peich chipping in... I have always wanted to put those T209-1's together, but just have never got around to it. Beautiful little set.

Exhibitman 07-05-2012 06:44 AM

Congrats, Dan! Let's see some scans?

danmckee 07-06-2012 06:52 AM

Thanks everyone for the very kind words.

I will scan my set as it resides in my binder this weekend.

t209-1 stamps

It looks like u have a completed set with no stamps on the back? That's amazing.

Joe_G. 07-06-2012 10:44 PM

Wow Dan, what a great looking set. Your bleaching skills are improving :). Michael is certainly top notch. Great looking bunch, are all the players from the Carolinas (NC & SC)?

boneheadandrube 07-06-2012 10:57 PM

The fronts and the backs of cards from this set are beautiful, thanks for sharing. Maybe the lack of back stamps is because he is trying to avoid the "MK" qualifier when he gets them graded...;)

Wow. really nice set!

Wite3 07-07-2012 08:58 AM

Dan,
As the cards say... "Exceptionally Good!"

Brian Weisner 07-07-2012 09:48 AM

Congrats Dan.... Now you should go after the T209-2's as Jay suggested....
Be well Brian

PS The T209-2's will drive you crazy....

sgbernard 07-07-2012 12:00 PM

Great looking set, congrats! Oh, and don't go after the T209 IIs, they're impossible, awful, terrible cards.

Plus, I don't want you driving the prices up! :p

danmckee 07-08-2012 08:34 AM

You guys are funny! Don't worry, not planning on going after the II's unless I find a hoard to get me started. Too many of them.

I love the colors with the I's, and it was a small set so it was worth starting.

The T202 set I recently completed cured me of ever starting a new large set again.

Happy Sunday!

Congrats Dan, and I second the above - it's a gorgeous one here in Seattle. This is a very refreshing place to be - if I wander over to another forum and start trouble, please call the bailiff.

Wow Congrats Dan! That's a nice set to put together!
