Shotwell Dauss

1 Attachment(s)
Just ended Goodwin Auction had this Shotwell up for auction. It is suposedly only one of 3 baseball Shotwell's in existence. In earlier thread from 2009 regarding Shotwell Ruth, speculation that the Dauss may go up near 1000 dollars(from Leon). Any idea why it went kind of low? If this is truly rare, thought it would have gone much higher. ?condition.

It was probably just too obscure to garner a lot of interest.

trimmed to the borders...very obscure issue...common player...not a t206 freak or rare back...these days = not a lot of $$$$.

I agree. Just too trimmed for a great type example. If I were only going for one card from the issue, I'd probably want to upgrade this one if I got it.

Arguably one of the strongest bidders for that type of card wasn't bidding. Very, very thin market means wider variances in selling prices.

What Pete said. (and Leon)

Leon, would you have gone strong for this example if you didn't have one? It seems over-beat.

Personally I would have doubled the winning bid if I didn't have one.
