1907 Sol White's Book on Colored Baseball
 

Does anyone know of an owner of an original copy of the above book that may be willing to sell? I should mention that I am not looking for a reprint, only the original. I am also going to post this message in the Baseball Memorabilia BST as well.

Don't have a copy, but pretty sure that you won't find a copy for that price. I think it would sell for twice that amount. Maybe check some more auctions.

Phil- there are only about half a dozen copies known, and nearly all are damaged. Typically they can sell for 10K or more, occasionally a little less. You will have to have some luck to get one.

Thanks for the input, guys. I am prepared to pay well above that auction price for a copy in similar condition. I have tracked down a couple that are in public libraries but I don't think that there is a chance of buying from them. If anyone knows of one in private hands, please contact me for a finder's fee if we can work something out.
