A friend of mine found this in a collection last night. Is there any chance that this is real?

Yes, it is real...just not authentic. Not with a PB back.

T206 Honus Wagners can only have a Sweet Caporal or Piedmont back.

It's not real. There are no Wagner's with a Polar Bear back, and the front looks washed out, etc. Sorry |
Hold on now...it could be a previously unreleased version... It has a factory stamp on the back, so it must be real. Let's ask a couple of guys in Ohio...

Might be nice if you could get the reprint bits soaked off. I think maybe they glued it onto a Piedmont of some sort.
