PSA Graded T202 - How is this PR 1?
2 Attachment(s)
I bought this a while back for about what you'd pay for a T202 graded PSA 1. The only problem is, I can't figure out how this is a 1? There is some paper loss on the back, but the front looks amazing. The case doesn't appear to have been tampered with, so I can assume it's the original card. Any help/insight would be appreciated!

The paper loss does it. Almost automatically. I have an E121-80 Hornsby that is MT on the front even less paper loss on th back than yours, and it got a "1" as well.
Id take a perfect card with some loss on the reverse over a "beater" 3 all day long. It's part of why everyone on the board says buy the card not the holder, but in the opposite circumstance this way. |
Makes sense, but the paper loss is so minor I thought it had to be something else. Either way I'm not usually looking at the back of the card, so it's a win/win.
Thanks for the imput! I appreciate it. Rich |
Nice card. The paper loss does it here but the area of paper loss here does not detract negatively on this card, imo. Seems like the same amount of paper loss on the front would result in the same grade which would not seem accurate.
Be your own grader. Buy the card, not the holder. |
Agree with other members, but having said that, psa has seemed to be very critical on their grading of these cards. I have several 6's and 7's that look like 8 and 9's. Corner wise, they are razor sharp. Not really sure why this is..........
