Hasn't this card been touched up?

|
Or maybe re-backed completely?

Very hard to say from a two dimensional view, it certainly looks like it, but it could be the corner wear simply reflected light in the scan a little oddly...
It would seem like a waste of time for someone to touch up the bottom of a card that is probably a 3 at best, but likely a 2 or 1 considering the upper left corner. If the rest of the card looked like a 6 and had those bottoms I'd be nervous, but given the overall average condition of the card, I doubt there's any misconduct there |

The Downey in the same auction has the same evidence of flaking. Doubt anyone rebacked the Downey!
Not giving an opinion on the propriety of this one, but the front will often chip like that on beat up corners, exposing the white cardboard underneath. |

Maybe they used an eraser? :) just kidding!
IMO, it's fine for the reason T206 auto man said - flaking. |
I had some comments, but upon further thought take them back.
