Kyle
I have some solid information for you email me when you have time stemmers37@yahoo.com Jim Rivera |
I think it will bring 3K or more.
|
That's a great card Kyle. From the photo it looks like it would grade poor. I think Pete is about right on his estimate. Good luck with it if you sell.

It will be interesting to see what price it will bring .. preparations to sell it are underway.
Here is a breakdown of price vs. the $13,000 Red Hindu Brown auction card. $13000 x 30% ... $3900 $13000 x 25% ... $3250 $13000 x 20%.... $2600 $13000 x 15% ... $1950 The qualities that make up price for all collectables: 1. Authenticity 2. Condition 3. Rarity Rarity is where Red Hindus shine. I don't think it would be unreasonable for the card to sell for between 15 to 35% of the current top price Red Hindu/Brown/$13k. Will it sell in that arena?.. Who knows?.. Depends on how badly someone wants a card rarer than the Magie mistake card. More Magie mistake cards are offered for sale at auctions and online than Brown or Joss Red Hindus. As that information becomes absorbed and applied the prices for rare Red Hindus will continue up. The last Joss Pitching Red Hindu that I have been able to confirm being offered at auction was 1996... 16 years ago. If someone has other information on Brown or Joss Red Hindu sales that can be confirmed.. public or private.. please send me a PM. |

Yep......I purchased a Victory back of McGraw POR (only 1 known at the time and I think still is) It has superb eye appeal with a bold clean back. Just faint crease across the middle gave it an SGC 30. It had EX corners. I purchased it for $2500 I think and resold for just around $3k a few years later in REA. Even though a very rare card, $3K doesnt sound like much. My guess is $1500-2K. How many Red Hindus of that card exist? If that is the only one, then perhaps alot higher. I sold 3 poor back damaged M101-5s in REA last year that brought 20 times what I paid, again but 2 of them were only ones that I knew about and Rob said he had never offered up or even seen those variations. So it is all timing and some luck as well. Good luck on the cards.

Here is another Brown/Red Hindu...

That brown that sold for 13k was mine...and to say i was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I was hoping for 1/2 that. With rare back hof'ers...especially those with atleast a handful known...condition is king. Yours looks like it may grade A to me.
I stand by my estimate...good luck. |
