Walinger Studio Ed Walsh portrait wearing his 1906 World Championship medal
A self documenting type 1 portrait photo of a HOFer. Probably taken shortly after the 1906 season by Walinger Studios of Chicago with original studio envelope.
Here is the medal in the photo and Nick Altrock's 1906 Championship medal for comparision. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...to/medal-1.jpghttp://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9..._1906medal.jpg The photo was used on the cover of a book on vintage photography by David Rudd. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9.../Rudd_book.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9.../book_page.jpg The photo is signed by Walinger, but I can't make out the date below it. I'm guessing it was taken shortly after the 1906 season. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9..._signature.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...studio_pic.jpghttp://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...oto/walsh2.jpg It comes with a copy of the Rudd book and the photo's original envelope. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...studio_env.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...icenvelope.jpg A couple additional pictures. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...hoto/walsh.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...o/Walsh3-1.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...o/envelope.jpg sold.
