Restored Decal

Does a dot dash dot bat with a restored decal lose most its value?

The item is a cool looking display item but the value is at times diminished with the decal. It doesn't belong there

I went to the Adamstown market today and saw a great D&M bat was a great decal. It was priced to sell at $325.00 but when you took a close look then decal had square cuttings on its edges. A dead giveaway to me but not to others.
The seller is a long time memorabilia dealer at flea markets who might not have known what he had. |

I'm sure most adults don't realize they listen to their parents until they are older and re-living life through their kids. My father always said, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything!
I wish more parents would have said this to their children. |

Better to know what you are buying than to buy and then fret on an online forum that you might have made a mistake or justify you purchase that you think that part of the purchase is real. |
Is there any type of general pricing guide to bats anywhere. Again I know as with anything, the price paid is what a buyer is willing to pay and what it is worth to him. Just looking for a general guide to help.

The bat in the condition it is in is at about $75.00. One with a nicer patina , no cracks and 36" could bring $200 or higher. Same bat with a good decal would be $1500 up. Imo
