I have a few Old Judge cards I don't remember buying but on the flip side, I also thought I had ones I don't actually have so I'm pretty sure some of my cards have been traded without me knowing. I assumed it was a couple of the manager cards I have doing the trading, and also assumed they would trade for team need and not for card value so I have separated the manager cards from the players in my safe. Most of that story is true

I know where all my vintage is but all my 1960 and up cards are just boxed and packed on shelves. When seeing some PSA 10 1993 Derek Jeter SP rookies listed for 10 grand, I decided to search for mine. While looking, I found 3 5000 count monster boxes of 1973 Topps Baseball and a few hundred Jose Canseco rookies I forgot I had. Also saw some Boggs, Ripken Jr, Sandberg and Strawberry rookies but in smaller amounts.

great cards!!!
It makes sense that you might forget since your life is so inundated with Cobb and Chase cards!!!!! all the best, Barry |
Some time ago there was a thread about the T206s and ZeeNuts of players depicted in both sets. I was quite surprised at how many players have a card in each. But then the long running ZeeNuts has over 3000 cards, and when crossed with almost 400 different players in T206 there has to be some matching.
So when I saw the list of such cards develop on that thread, I decided to pick up a few more to go with the few I already had. I wanted to get an Arellanes ZeeNut. So I looked for quite some time. One day I found one, but it was trimmed on all sides (not unusual for 1911 ZeeNuts). Well I bought it. But I didn't put it with my other ZeeNuts. Months and months later, I'm looking through ZeeNuts, and see I still lack Arellanes. And about that time I find the one on the right in the hands of a kind board member. So after a bit of civil haggling, I get it. The new one sits around for about two weeks, and I eventually make a move to put him somewhere... first box I open for his new home has the trimmed Arellanes sitting atop the cards, starring back at me. So now I have 2, and probably need to send the trimmed one to a new home. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...eszeenutx2.jpg |
