Just to clarify for future reference, it is my understanding that the auction was listed to close at 10 PM, so to me that says that a bid at 10 PM would be too late to be valid anyway, is that the interpretation by most?

Thats how I interperted it in this case, and I have won a couple low priced auctions on here lately, and bid at 959 for ten pm closings.
