I have acquired one of my Holy Grails
A photo album filled with baseball and football photos taken by a member of the Nebraska Indians baseball team...Making this even better for me the player was also the quarterback of the Nebraska Cornhuskers in 1914 and 1915 and there are also many photos of the football team. Another plus is the addition of many photos of Les Mann who was apparently a pal of the player who made the album (Max Towle)...further research has revealed that they went to high school together.

Dan,
Very nice! Looks like you will be enjoying that album for a long time!! |
Yes, Dan, that album has found the right home. I admire the fact that when you chase multiple items, each one seems to you like THE Holy Grail. In my case, they seem like the labors of Hercules.

Congrats, Dan. It's always nice to hear when a sincere collector like yourself gets the piece.
|
Wonderful and glad it's in the right hands where it will stay together

What do they put in the corn over there? One happy bunch of rubes, and great uniforms too. Congrats.
