Pretty Cool Estate Sale Find

Today my dad had a great find at a local estate sale. He saw a very dirty baseball on a shelf and decided he was going to buy it when he asked how much.
"A quarter" the staff said.
He looked at it a little closer to find it was signed by Ted Williams. It is so dirty that the sellers didn't know it was signed.
It is a legitimate autograph too. I have seen it already today.

Pretty good buy for $0.25!

I will try to get a photo of it to post later.

Great find! I love estate sales...I also love garage sales...I didn't find any sports items today, but I did find a 14K gold ring today for $10...and possibly another 14K gold ring that I need to have it checked out..I only paid $1 for that one and am not so sure it's really gold even though it's marked 14K inside the band.

Nice catch! You never know what you're going to find. As far as I'm concerned, it's always worth the search. I once came across an old biography of Bucky Harris, and when I opened it to the first page, it was signed by the 1924 Washington Senators, including Walter Johnson ...

Was it a Yard Sale or an Estate Sale?

I have a similar find, at an estate sale a few months ago. For $2, I found a toy rubber ball given out at Pete Maravich's last home game with LSU. It was signed by Pete and his dad.

I love hearing about garage/estate sales.
