Up for sale today is probably the clearest and crispest Type I Press Photo that I have ever owned. This beauty is credited to Underwood & Underwood and pictures the three New York Yankees catchers: Bill Dickey, Pat Collins and John Grabowski just prior to the start of the 1928 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. The importance of this photo cannot be overstated as it pictures Dickey just a few games into his Major League Hall of Fame career. This photo has been graded a BGS 2 by the strict graders at Beckett Grading Services, the industry leader in third-party grading.
