Red Heart card with nothing on the back

Is it considered a baseball card if there is a player on the front of it, but nothing on the back of it, is it really a card, I picked up one this weekend and I'm not sure.

Yes. Very well could be worth some big $

Or it could be a copy or reprint. Never seen a blank Red Heart card.

If it's genuine, it would probably be a printing error. Perhaps worth a bit of a premium-- depends on how much buyer values it. Many card issues over had the occasional blank back. They are limited in number, but the value depends on how someone fancies it.

In general, reprints don't have blank backs.

Is it a cutout from an advertising poster? Red Heart was offered over a period of many years. The reason that so many are found in high grade is that they were mass produced and still available more than a decade after their release date, if memory serves. Perhaps there was a point of sale display or poster that contained a full-size depiction of the front of one or more cards. If so I would guess these would date to around the date of initial release. Just speculating, obviously.

I have never seen an advertising sheet of Red Hearts, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. As for getting big money I tend to doubt it. Maybe a premium if someone considered it odd and was a big Red Heart collector, but it isn't like T206s where you have a ton of collectors looking into every aspect of the set.
