The Card Collectors Company items
This company was brought up in the pre-war forum in regards to prices on T206 cards. I ended up scanning all of the pieces I have and thought I'd share them here. Some of the images can't be read due to the small detail. If anyone wants to see the detail up-close, let me know and I can scan portions to make them readable. It's fun reading about the price offers at the time!

Thanks for posting those. I find it interesting that there is a reference to "Beckett value" in the 1981 ad.

Card Collectors Company was the first company I purchased cards through the mail from in the 70's. I loved getting the flyers in the mail and dreaming of getting all those great cards. Wish I would have had more money to spend but paper routes and yard work jobs didn't pay that well in the 70's ! Thanks for the post, always great when you get to go down the memory lane path, Brett

Those ads bring back a lot of memories for me. :)

Thank you! Now, on to my time machine!
Hey, what a great post! Thanks for giving me a glimpse of something that I had never seen before, but had certainly heard about.
This answers, for me, the question of what I'll do first when I get my time machine working: Place an order from the Card Collectors Company (at 1964 prices, of course)! |
It's my pleasure sharing these saved items with people who appreciate them!
