Senior City league and amateur baseball photos
When baseball ruled, many cities and towns had senior leagues which played highly competitive baseball. Vancouver did, and in fact from 1933 to 1937 or so, produced baseball cards of the players.
Here's a 1924 team photo from the league. Love to see other similar photos from other cities http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7051/6...ff41fb8a_z.jpg And here's a card of Johnny Nestman about 10 years later http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6050/6...fe449e04_z.jpg |

Max, I have quite a few Kansas town team photos that I could show. Here's one that's not from Kansas however. In the upper left next to the U is Dizzy Dean before he made the jump to the majors.

Great photo Clint. Love to see some more.
I also got from the seller what appears to be the original photo of Lindsay 3B that was used in the original team composite, as there are oval shadows on hsi photo. Then again, it could simply have been a copy that was kept in an oval frame for years. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7065/6...fab709ba_z.jpg |

That's a cool photo Max. It's too bad that most of the history of these teams is lost or buried somewhere. It would be nice to know who many of these guys were and how the team fared.

Clint I'm going through the photos at the City archives. There are many photos with names so I hope to be able to dig more names p.
