White stripe on SGC flip

http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...70aparicio.jpg

I have lots of SGC cards. None with the stripe.

If I see a card with the stripe it makes me less interested

because it doesn't match the flips for cards I have.

Does anyone in the know have an explanation for the flip variation?

Which white stripe are you referring to? I can't tell if I'm seeing a stripe or glare from the scan, but I'm still confused.

I will now use this opportunity to post an SGC graded postwar baseball card :D

It could be as simple as that was the top label on the sheet and you are seeing a sliver of the margin on the sheet. To tell you the truth I would never have noticed if you wouldn't have pointed it out and it wouldn't bother me. I look at the card.

Ah, I see what you're talking about now. Yep, looks like a miscut label -- doesn't bother me much.

I think you should send it back and pay the minimal fee to have it reslabbed without the stripe.

Either that, or send all of your other cards back and have them reslabbed with a stripe.

Stripes

Doug...either way that would destroy a rare slab variation

Which gives rise to the new saying regarding TPG cards......

Buy the slab, not the card
