"with big names!"
Zimmerman, Abbaticchio, Armbruster, Breitenstein, Congalton, Livingston, Tannehil What? I said big names. Big, long names. What did you want? Don't want, don't buy. |

This is the same seller who is selling the T206 Honus Wagner with a Polar Bear back mentioned in another thread.

I thinking about picking up that Japanese "dime". The BIN is only $20,000.
The current exchange is about 13 cents. Doug |
Is anybody missing cards via the postal system? No joking there have been a few thefts lately via people grabbing packages and putting them on eBay perhaps the reason he's not showing the fronts is so nobody can turn dime on him......
Just a thought..... John P.S. One of our board members has been fighting with the Post Office for alomst a year to get back 3 Hindus that popped up on ebay after they were stolen from the Post Office Dist. center in Philly. The Post Office has them as evidence now but they went missing and then showed up on ebay. |
That's an interesting theory and plausible.

First post. Yes, I've had a theft(?) via the Postal System. Sold a bunch of T-206's via ebay right before Christmas. Had a buyer (with perfect feedback) tell me that they never arrived. Sent them via Postal System in one of those little white bubble envelopes you can buy right there in the Post Office. Unfortunately I didn't send them via registered mail. Had 2-3 cards in there; can't recall. Had to refund the money. A learning experience...

Wasn't there a theft of vintage cards from a Seattle store recently? This seller is about five hours north in Quesnal, BC...hmmm. He really is inviting all sorts of nasty speculation about these cards. Ty Phelan

Yeah, that's a shady listing. Wouldn't shock me one bit if it was stolen merchandise.
We're supposed to believe this is just some pot luck smash-up somebody's going to throw 1700+ bucks at. Even if it's legit, they sure are going out of their way to make their stuff look shady. |
It's an interesting listing. You can say that.
I remember Topps had Mystery Refractors. You had to peal off a black film from the front to find out who it was. Of course, you got them randomly in packs in the first place, so the randomness was the same, and by the time one hit eBay the identity was shown. Yes, Seattle is close to the Canadian border. Maybe less than a two hour drive. I think Vancouver is 120 miles away. |

What imaginative pricing!
I like this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-USA-Two-v...item2ebb0d5028 I collect that series. Those are cardboard proofs, total catalog value $16. And with the stains, the pair might bring as much as $5. Although there may or may not be a third stamp. He says you get all 3 shown. Steve B PS: If anyone wants stamps like the ones in his other auctions, just ask. For the most part they're all cheap stuff. |
