FS: Earl Averill & Waite Hoyt signed '83 A.S. balls
 

Guys............I have these two 1983 Official All Star Game single signed baseballs from Earl Averill and Waite Hoyt for sale. Prices included shipping Payment via personal check, money order, or Paypal 'gift'. Please contact me via PM or email at mattpienta at yahoo dot com with questions. I feel these are very fair prices after doing some research. I'd be interested in possible trades/partial trades for lower grade '38 Goudey Dimaggio's, '41 PB Williams/J. The Averill signature is in blue ballpoint and was signed about a month before his passing. The ball itself has some light toning that did not show up in my photos very well (the ball is not as 'bright white' as it appears below). The panels to the left and right of the signature have a few blotchy areas of toning and the panel with the signature is lightly toned. IMO, the signature rates an 8/10........$400.

The Hoyt signed ball is 'whiter' than the Averill ball with more of an 'off white/creamy' tone to the leather. This ball was signed about a year before his passing. The Hoyt signature appears to be in a black felt tip (?) pen and not a ball point pen. The panel to the right of the signature has a very light 'red smear' smaller than a penny, otherwise the ball is in pretty nice condition. IMO, I would rate the signature an 8-9/10......$600
