Wagner t-206 memory lane

Wow just saw the 206 Wagner psa 2 listed from memory lane on ebay. 775k seems a stretch but who knows there are enough hedge fund managers still out there with money!

I would like to see some better pics if I was going to drop that kind of coin.
You would think they would spend a few extra bucks upgrade to at least have the zoom feature for pics of the card. What kills me is if I submitted a T206 Heinie Wagner in that condition it would come back as a 1 maybe 1.5 at best.
However it is still great to look at over and over.

I would think something like wouldn't really need any better pictures. I mean it's a T206 Honus Wagner. Most people who can afford to own one just buy them for prestige anyways. Grading to them just ensures the latte in they spill in their bentley won't stain the card.

Just to be clear there are no longer any hedge fund managers with enough spare cash to pay 775k for anything anymore. Unfortunately.

As someone that works in that industry, 2011 was probably the saddest year ever...

And does anyone have an idea what the psa 4 Wagner sold for the in recent Legendary offering? Shouldn't it sell around this price?

2 million.

Once they sell it, Memory Lane could use the revenue to hire a copywriter.

You must know something no one else does. I think the number was probably between 1.62M and 2M. That was the hobby rumor I heard. I never heard "2M".....but I have been wrong before.

sflayank 01-26-2012 10:58 AM

Wow....you also know something no one else does. You guys are Kreskin reincarnated!!

atx840 01-26-2012 02:55 PM

1.6 would make much sense then the 2 mil I heard. I read on two separate sites that it was close to the two million mark but upon rechecking the numbers have all been removed.

Pinkie was lifted
