Looking for reprint Old Judge Phenomenal Smith

Anyone have a reprint Phenomenal Smith card they would part with?
Also interested in Amos Rusie. I have done searches on ebay for both to no avail other than a eight by ten print of Smith which I'm not interested in. I am trying to piece together a genuine T206 collection (21 of em now) but for something like Old Judge I will settle for reprints. email me at sandmountainslim@yahoo.com if ya have an extra and accept paypal.

No reprint Old Judge Smith's? I am buying a "Reprint Old Judge set 1" on Ebay ..maybe one will be in there .
This particular set
http://www.ebay.com/itm/N172-OLD-JUD...item2eac53f8ff

Four different sets for a seemingly reasonable price. Hope they are halfway decent looking.

If I can find a Rusie, I will PM you and you can have it. If nothing else, I'm sure I can re-create a reasonable one. I don't have my materials, but should be able to come up with something.

FYI, the Smith card you link to on eBay is mis-labeled. That is actually a card of "Pop" (Charles Marvin) Smith. Phenomenal Smith cards are not that tough outside of his Script card portrait. He has a total of 6 different poses in the Old Judge set.

In your research, you've probably discovered that he was a bit a troublemaker. He was a member of four different clubs over a time span of five weeks in late 1886. He does have an interesting history however.

Thank U very much :) Smith and Rusie are my favorite 19th Century players and my favorite non- T206 players

Yes :) Smith's personality is what makes him such an interesting part of baseball history.

Poo Poo.....I have no earthly idea why I got Smith and California Brown mixed up.... I don't have Smith. I am sorry about that. I do have a small stack of mostly HOF'ers if you are interested in any others....Anson, Keefe,Hamilton, Beckley,Griffith,Duffy, Comisky,Galvin etc.....or if you just want to see how Scott's cards came out, I will send you one. They are very nice. Sorry about that....LL

haha. I wasn't going to say anything, but I looked through my images and could not find a Phenomenal Smith.

I might resume that project - it was really quite a bit of fun, but I stopped because I sliced a finger to the bone and had to go to the E.R. After that, I never created another card.

I got the reprint set 1 from ebay which I linked to above. Neat little cards with a player bio on the back. No idea who reprinted them or when but I like 'em...they just need a Smith and a Rusie in the bunch.

sandmountainslim 01-21-2012 01:27 PM

I am damn near the point where I would take a Xerox'd Smith that I could past to cardboard :)

sandmountainslim 01-28-2012 10:00 AM

Ok, Im at the bottom of the barrel :0 NO ONE has made a reprint Phenomenal Smith card as of yet, I have figured this out by buying all the OJ reprints available on ebay and talking to people here.

Who is willing to sell me a nice quality Xerox copy of their Smith that I can past to card stock and make my own reprint Smith with?
