What Hockey Sets Are You Working On?
Anyone currently working on hockey sets?
Pre-War: I'm half-seriously working on 1923 Paulin's Candy, and more seriously trying to complete C60 Lacrosse (I know, not hockey, but close enough...) Vintage: I've been putting together a raw set of '74-'75 WHA, looking for a few cards still and looking to upgrade some...so many of these cards are in terrible shape with brutal centering. Let us know what you are working on! Cheers, Blair |
Blair,
We are very similar in our collecting interests. I just finished my Paulins Chocolate set after working on it for about 4 years. Needed #44 Ty Arbour for completion and looked for one for about 6 months before i finally found one. I am also working on the C60 set and still need 4 to complete it. I am currently trying to put together a Holland Creameries set, i still need 4 more (without the SP Neil) for completion. Mike |
Finished 1977-78 O-Pee-Chee WHA AND 1981-82 Topps this past year. Currently upgrading star cards on OPC & Topps sets 1976-77 thru 1989-90. Working on 1952-53 St. Lawrence Sales set 13/108.

Finshed my 1963-64 Parkhurst set last year, thinking about up-grading a few. Here's a link to my set

That is quite a coincidence! Congats on finishing the Paulins - that is a feat. I'm only at about 10 cards so far, but I have a couple key ones (Lalonde and Hainsworth) and my commons are all between PSA 3 and 5 (none hole-punched). For C60, I'm real happy with my set so far, but I still need about 15 cards. My set is #2 on the PSA Registry (I'll never touch the #1 "simjin" - Simon Bourque - PSA set, but it will be tough for someone to knock me out of 2nd, I think...) Good luck to you on Holland Creameries - another serious challenge! Cheers, Blair |

This is my favorite post-1951 hockey set. The Howe is an icon! Congrats on putting together a beauty. Cheers, Blair |
