1962 Ripley's near set w/box Closed
 

Hi, I would like to auction a near set of 1962 Ripley's cards. I can't find any info on these cards, either in the Standard Catalog or in my non-sports guides. This is a set of 35 cards, featuring several different sports and many different Ripley's Believe It Or Not topics. This set includes cards of 4 baseball players. The backs of the cards contain other topics, and the remainder of the fronts are all non-baseball subjects. THIS SET IS MISSING CARD #19. I do not know the subject of this missing card. I did an ebay search and a google search but I wasn't able to come up with anything. I also have the original box, which has writing on the back.

You are bidding on 34 of the 35 cards, all EX or better, plus the box. These 34 cards include 4 baseball subjects and 30 non-baseball subjects. The box has some wear and has writing on the back. These cards are from 1962, and as far as I can tell, they are not cataloged. The size of the cards are 3.25 x 5.5".

Interesting cards. Found that PSA has a registry for this set: http://www.psacard.com/PSASetRegistr...te.aspx?c=7654. Couldn't find it listed in their SMR though. Per the composition listing, #19 is called "Weighing the Vote".
