Vintage Baseball Glove...Please Help
 

My wife gave this glove to me for Xmas and I would like to get some info on it as I know nothing about it. I can't find any markings on it and it looks like a tag of some sort was removed from the back. Can anybody tell me the manufacturer and approximate year? Is there any value to it? Thanks for any help.

The only info I can provide is that it is a mitt, not a glove :D

Estimating it's a late 30s (possibly early 40s) 1st Base Mitt. I think the missing tag probably said "Rawlings", but the hard-core Glove Guys can probably answer that without any hesitation.
