OT: Anyone interested in a SE Pennsylvania get together in February or March 2012?
Dear fellow collectors,
I enjoy meeting people who share a passion for vintage baseball cards. I always learn something new during these meetings and would love to learn more as I get deeper into this hobby. With that being said, I would like to see if there is any interest for fellow collectors in the SE Pennsylvania/New Jersey/Delaware/NYC area to get together and share our love for our hobby. I own a Primo Hoagies (www.primohoagies.com) in Langhorne, PA and would love to host a dinner of our products with drinks, sides, etc, where we can get together and share our common interest in vintage cards. Is there any interest? I could do a dinner on a Sunday evening around 6:00 PM sometime in Feb/March of next year. If there is enough interest, I will start an official thread for planning purposes. The next Hunt - Philly Show is the weekend of March 2-4. If you decide on that weekend, maybe Saturday would be the best day, I would make the 2 hour trip from NJ. |

This sounds fine to me. Count me in.
However, I would not recommend coinciding this event with the Valley Forge show next March. That facility is a mess, and will continue to be so until they complete construction of the new Casino there. Next time I'm in Flemington, I'll drop in to see you. What days are you there ? TED Z |

Sounds like a good idea. I am interested in meeting other collectors. I'll be watching for an official thread.
BTW, I grew up in Bucks County and have lived in Conshohocken and Norristown for years. Primo's is awesome. I remember getting their sandwiches in their early location in Center City. There was one Primo's on the Roosevelt Blvd. that would card slices of pound cake from Stock's Bakery in Port Richmond. Good stuff! I am currently living near Reading and miss the food of Philly and the burbs. |
Paul,
I would be interested also. Keep me posted on the details... Thanks, Andrew |
Count me in. LMK specifics.

I never did get much response when I tried similar get togethers in the Northern Virginia area. No disrespect to Ted at all, but I agree with Phil. Do something around the Philly show weekend and more people might be able to make it. Alan |
I'd be very interested in doing something like this. I'm new to vintage baseball, but would love the chance to take in as much info on the subject as I can outside of the forums and a few select books.
