1940 Michigan Sports Service Hank Greenberg

Does anybody have any information on this RARE Hank Greenberg card. I've never seen it listed on Ebay before. The auction just ended at over $600.00.

I understand SGC grades this issue. Any idea what the value would be in this shape if graded?

IMHO grading it will not make a huge difference in the price.

Ive owned a few of these, but never the Greenberg. they all have been EX+++ and sharp. Might be from the same find????

I agree, its not going to jump if graded.

Its one of the tougher cards for the Hank Greenberg collector, and thats probably where it should end up.....

I sold a Tommy Bridges on ebay a while back, of course price wasn't this high.

They are difficult and hard to find.

Bridges seems to be the most common player, Ive had 3 of them and seen a few others too :)

I agree, these are very tough to find. Although there is a Hal Newhouser in the SCBC checklist, it is now believed that none exist.
