OT -- Greg Halman and a trivia question
Man, what a shame, 24 years and currently believed his brother stabbed the promising young player to death.
http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2011/11...d-in-Rotterdam Trivia Question -- which pre-war player was stabbed to death at a celebration of him departing for spring training. Regards Rich |
I think you are referring to Ed Morris.
That is really terrible and sad about Halman, as a Seatle Mariners fan he shows some real promise last year and it is hard to imagine this happening to him. Terrible news on so many levels. |
Rhett is correct
He got the red sox pitcher who was killed at his own birthday bash.

I already posted this in the Watercooler section, but I watched every single game Halman played in between 2010 and 2011 on television and as a HUGE Mariners fan he had a TON of promise and was a great person by all acounts. When you think of all the complete A-Holes in pro sports to have a kid like Halman lose his life is just plain wrong.

Rhys,
You definitely are on the mark with your comments. Life is not fair!!! |
Life is so fragile. My wife's first cousin suddenly lapsed into a coma last week and just passed away a couple of hours ago. Her husband lost his corporate job last month and is now an unemployed single father of five children aged 1-14.
|
Another sad aspect of this death is that Halman was an international player from a country with few major league players. Guys like him are vital to spreading interest in the game abroad. Very sad day for baseball.
