Dad's Hockey?
 

I don't know the first thing about Hockey cards and don't have any guides. I have this Dad's set of Seals. Can someone give me an idea about the value/scarcity?

Ive had those in the past, and have a couple loose singles now. I think there was a find years back, and the value is likely pretty low still. Nice cards tho. maybe someone can give you a dollar value tho. Plus, you could do a google search to get an idea

The Beckett Hockey Price Guide has a high bv of $200 and and a low bv of $100 for the entire set of 144 in NM condition.

Bobby Orr books @ $40, Gordie Howe @ $20.

As with everything these days, a more realistic price for the entire set will be well under the low book value.

Back in the days of the early Detroit shows, I bought a 100 of these Dad's Cookies sets from Will Jonke for $200 in 1975. They were in mint condition. After lugging them around for several years to shows and selling them at $5 each, I was glad to get rid of the last one in 1981. Then the price took off on them. Sets in near mint condition generally sell in the $100 range now. That's not the book price of course, but what they are selling for.
