Auction Format

This auction portion of the BST is really a nice feature. If it was standardized (just a bit) it could probably make for a better experience for everyone. Items get lost in the threads as time goes by. Knowing when the auction ends (from the subject/topic line) will let everyone know what's avaialable, even if it falls down the list of items up for auction.

Just a suggestion. In the subject line put the end date so that people will know when the auction ends. Can we just put up a standard closing time of like 10PM so that everyone knows that all auctions end at 10P (EST). I think it will make things mucy easier for people looking over what's up for grabs.

For example:

SUN - 30OCT: T206 Wagner (add details, etc)

10 bucks on the wagner lol

day too?

10pm sounds reasonable, and we could put that next to the title of the forum if it helps.....but unless folks put the day that it ends, in the title too, won't you still have to click the thread to see the end time?

I was thinking that if everyone abided by the 10P (EST) close then the only thing that would have to be in the title was the close day/date and item description(s).

Exactly. It would be up to the seller to make sure the date is on the title, or it automatically drops to the bottom of the pack. BTW, I'm all for a standardized ending time. I remember one from a while back that had an ending time of midnight, and I got a little confused about when in ended. Because, depending on who's interpreting it, midnight could either be the start of a day, or the end of it... It's really no big deal, but it's just another reason a standardized ending time would be great..

Maybe, if Date is mandatory as the first thing listed on auction titles, you could find a way to set the auction page to sort by that, rather than by last post..

10/30-XXXXXX
10/30-YYYYYY
11/02-ZZZZZZ

Maybe I'm overthinking this though? Maybe a standardized ending time is all we really need?
