Shoeless Moe 10-27-2011 09:55 PM

This has to be the most exciting World Series since Arizona - New York

joebrandon1977 10-27-2011 09:57 PM

1 strike away and can not close it down. Not good Texas.

BCauley 10-27-2011 09:57 PM

That was unreal. The series this year has been so much fun to watch.

Shoeless Moe 10-27-2011 10:01 PM

1 strike away 2 innings in a row. Rangers DESERVE to lose this game.

yanks12025 10-27-2011 10:25 PM

I hope the rangers lose.

xdrx 10-27-2011 10:28 PM

This hasn't been a great game from a quality of play standpoint, but from a drama standpoint are we watching the greatest World Series game ever?

I think the only way it could be better is if this was game seven.

No, for me Game 7 Twins vs. Braves, Morris vs. Smoltz, 1-0 in 10 innings.
Sorry, make that Game 6.

Shoeless Moe 10-27-2011 10:33 PM

This one is right up there with the Classics. I doubt any team was a pitch away from winning TWICE. Will they get a 3rd shot?

Heck of a game that one was.

Ugh, have to get up in 3 1/2 hours.

Shoeless Moe 10-27-2011 10:34 PM

Is that Nolan Ryan loosening up in the Rangers bulllpen?

yanks12025 10-27-2011 10:40 PM

Game Over

Shoeless Moe 10-27-2011 10:40 PM

WOW - FREESE - DEAD CENTER! G'night!

He should've been.

Unbelievable!!!! Wow!

sbfinley 10-27-2011 10:54 PM

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. Between this and the final day of the regular season, everyone that says baseball is boring can quiet down for now.

Well said.

When the O's sent the Red Sox home...it was the best I've felt about baseball in 15 years. Red Sox fans were dazed and confused. I can only imagine how Rangers fans are at this moment.

I suspect tommorow's game won't even be close....I like Texas though and hope they win a championship some day...but it ain't this year!!!

Runscott 10-27-2011 11:21 PM

Could Feliz freeze Freese?
or would Freese Fleece Feliz?
Cruz fears wall, loses ball, 9 all

okay, someone else do the 10th

Browncow75 10-27-2011 11:31 PM

I only wish Joe Buck coulda honored his dads' memory in that situation with a "GO CRAZY FOLKS, GO CRAZY - Part Deux!!"

abothebear 10-27-2011 11:33 PM

I've seen or listened to parts of 95% of the Cardinals games this season, as I do almost every season. I am a huge optimist of a fan, but I gave up and went through my almost annual grieving process back in August. Since then it has been all house money, easy fun. But tonight, with all the errors and missed opportunities, and being a strike away from it all being over, again I despaired. When they tied it I couldn't believe it. When Hamilton homered and our bottom of the order and no pinch-hitter were due up I was undone. To rally again, and then that beautiful rainbow of a centerfield homer from Freese, wow.

According to your inference, dazed and confused? Great game BTW.

Texas iS Gunna Let it All Out... Last Game Opinion!?!?

Texas 11, St Louis 4

IMHO ;)

Danny Smith 10-28-2011 12:15 AM

I just got home from the game and it was the greatest sporting event ive ever seen live. Absolutely amazing. The streets are alive with cardinals fans and tomorrow's game cannot come soon enough. What a night. I still am in disbelief.

He did...

Remember when Kirby Puckett hit his homer to end Game 6 of the 1991 World Series?

"We'll see you tomorrow night!"

barrysloate 10-28-2011 04:32 AM

I don't know if Texas can come back from such an emotionally devastating defeat. If they fall behind early tonight, I think they're cooked.

Thanks smart alec :) If this had happened to the O's I'd probably be on some overpass somewhere. In all seriousness, I'm rooting for the Rangers. The last time a World Series Game 7 was lost by the home team was my Orioles in 1979. I'd like to get that off of our back.

And in 2004 when Ortiz hit a walkoff HR well after midnight, Buck pulled out the "We'll see you later tonight!"

Bet the atmosphere was unreal.

What a game.

If LaRussa starts Punto tonight again at 2b the Rangers have a chance. Has any starter in any World Series been more pathetic- more strikeouts, more runners left on base, etc.? Sheesh...
It has been a fun Series to watch but hardly a great Series. Game 6 last night was exciting but the bonehead base running, all the errors, etc. made it one of those exciting "bad" games. That said, Freese was incredible, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy and Nellie Cruz has been great.

Runscott 10-28-2011 10:53 AM

It's been a great series - the best I've seen since '75, but it depends on what turns you on in a World Series.

The Rangers have more than just a chance and Vegas agrees. The Cards are the dogs tonight.

I'll go with 8-2 Rangers. I hope I'm wrong and it's more like last night, but with the correct team on top.

Cruz cost them the Series, so please strike any great from his name, unless of course he hits the game winner tonight, then re-insert, but for now he has to be THE goat, for easing up on that Freese ball that was catchable to end the game. Remove the R & E and add an O = GOAT!

Ain't that the truth. Washington had them in a 'prevent defense' specifically so that they could make plays like that. Feliz choked, but Cruz blew that play.

But no, Cruz didn't cost them the series - they're playing 7 this year.

GoldenAge50s 10-28-2011 05:57 PM

It's about time someone brought up Cruz non-play in RF---He "cruzed" back instead of running and was obviously afraid of the wall! If Rangers lose Cruz is the new Billy Buck!

It's the WS, Game 6--you have a chance at being the World Champs! That ball HAS to be caught!

Rangers bounce back & win Game 7 in a high scoring affair---ALL the pitchers are out of gas!

Shoeless Moe 10-28-2011 06:15 PM

Carp not sharp

My poetry was not to your liking?
