... I'm not sure if the White Stockings existed before 1871 -- the year first year of the National Association, considered by some (but officially recognized) as the first "Major League."

let me be more clear. anything from 1871 team icluding scorecards, pics, etc. or anything period referring to the team. I would also be interested in any earlier material such as cdvs of listed team members that played for the team in 1871. thanks.

I believe that there is an 1870 Peck & Snyder CDV of Chicago. Good luck finding that one and being able to afford it if you do.

An 1870 Chicago White Stockings Peck & Snyder trade card will be in the next Robert Edward Auction, I believe.

There's also a scorecard circulating from an 1870 game between the White Stockings and Mutuals. I owned it once a long time ago. But it may never come back up for sale, if I remember correcly who I sold it to.

There will be a JA Pierce 1871 White Stockings CdV in the spring REA,also.
