Up for sale tonight is an extremely rare Type II Press Photo picturing a 3 Year-Old Babe Ruth (c1898) which has been attached to a newspaper pasteboard backing and is date stamped "August 1920" on the back of the pasteboard. The photo has been authenticated and encapsulated by Beckett Grading Services, the industry leader in third-party grading. This piece is a very famous image of Ruth and appears in almost all Ruth biography books, etc. and I believe that it is the earliest known image of Ruth.
