1 Attachment(s)
John Rogers would like to invite all Net54 Members living in NYC or visiting the city next Monday night to stop in for a great evening. This is the first official viewing of "The Conlon Collection" and features Original Art by Adam Port.

This event is not open to the general public - but anyone who would like to attend can be put on the list.

The list will be finalized and closed on Sunday night, September 18th

Hope you can make it...

Great event... hopefully well attended

An eBay customer of mine sent me a link to an SCD article on the Rogers Collection which I share with like-minded hobbyists (Conlon card collectors) whenever possible. The Charles Conlon photographs are among my favorites and the modern era Conlon Collection cards ARE my favorites for their clarity and excellent writing. The 1980's cards were largely (exclusively?) written by The Sporting News' historian Paul MacFarlane who had great personal insight into pre (as well as post-) war baseball personalities. And the Conlon cards provide a goodly number of Deadball Era players in clear photographs. I hope Mr. Rogers will continue the Conlon series.

As I am on the west coast, I will be unable to attend. But I think it's a great opportunity and hope many Net54baseball people will take advantage of the invitation!
