Is this an original sign?
I saw one of these in a book and it looked pretty cool. I looked it up on eBay and this was the only possibly original one. Can anyone tell me if this is the real deal? Thanks

It's not old...one of many "recreations" produced in recent years.

To my knowledge, I think there is a cardboard legit sign out there, but no tin ones. Severely aged this one. wow.

Ted William Rootbeer
This is definately a fake. There are fake bottles of this as well, with this graphic of Ted. They faked the age and damage as well. Alot of these were faked in the 90s. One thing to always look for is fine print on a sign that has important info on who manufactured it, union markings, litho companies, dates, trademarkings. This has nothing. Another way is to search on google and put in the words, "ted williams root beer sign" and like 50 of these fakes, and other fakes as well, will pop up. The internet makes it easy to learn about all these things in mere minutes now.

Google is our friend and the seller and producer of fake memorabilia's enemy:)
