Well known, I guess. I don't know all well known authenticators and this one is in that category. I guess he could be well known in some circles??

One would have to seriously question the authenticity of this item besides the obvious fact the authenticator is an unknown.

The telegram is dated March 13, 1934 and the team would have been in St. Petersburg for spring training at this time. Even if the Babe wanted his agent to meet his at the stadium (assuming Babe meant Yankee Stadium) the team would have still been in Florida on March 20 so this meeting could not actually take place.

Here is some newsreal footage of the Yankees in March of 1934

The only way this could be legit is if The babe went back to New York in the middle of Spring training to meet with his insurance agent, or his New York insurance agent came down to Florida just to sell him some additional insurance. One would think Babe ruth would have taken care of something like this before he left town!!

The telegram also seems to be one of the copies of the telegram that was made in triplicate and not the top page that contained the actually writing. Just speculation on my part but too many red flags go up on this one!!

Granted I know little about telegrams, but wouldn't the sender's name be handwritten not signed as it was to be read/typed off?
