What's the error supposed to be?

Looks like a simple ink skip when the card was being produced to me.
This whole error thing is getting kinda ridiculous don't ya think?

For you all that understand the printing process better than me, why would it look like only a couple of letters are shifted instead of the whole name?

To me these appear to be attempts at repairing a flawed plate/stone. The area could be retreated and reexposed to fix a flaw similar to the murry or something of that nature.

I don't see it being a mechanical slip or other mechanical problem.

If they were typographed yes, as it's common with that process. But not with lithography.

I don't think it is a mechanical problem I am not sure how this would happen. Maybe Bob Lemke can chime in with an opinion. Rob

Does Bob Lemke still read this board? Rob

I would be very interested to see if anyone else has seen one of these. Looks like we know of three already. Rob
